A little bit about yours truly ...
I have been cartooning for over two decades. Some people have addicitons like drugs, sex or chocolate. Like many cartoonists I know, my addiction is to these silly scribbles that make us laugh and make us think of thinks in a different way.

A perverse addiction? Maybe. Cartooning is a subltle but cruel mistress. The profession seems to promise glory and riches, yet there are many casualties who end up broke, alone and depressed. Still, the big-hearted clowns that make up the breed calling themselves cartoonists have made people laugh along the way. And I guess that's a more noble and worthy profession than most I could name. I would like to think that I too, in my own small way, have contributed to the laughter quotient of Planet Earth.

A brief biog... I was born in New Zealand in 1962. In 1987 I moved to the UK, shortly after my first cartoon was published here (which, incidentally, was on the front cover of Punch, no less). I have had many cartoons published in Punch, Private Eye, The Spectator and Playboy USA, amongst other magazines. I have had several books published and truck-loads of greetings cards. My main love is the humble, single panel gag cartoon. My influences are the New Yorker cartoonists, especially Chas Addams, and Saul Steinberg. I also have a soft spot fot Michael Leunig, cartoonist for The Australian. Gary Larson is also a big favorite, although some of his jokes are 'scrapping the barrell'.
